Hello. My name is Harris, and I am from West Chester, Pennsylvania. I am currently learning Yiddish. I want to become a Yiddish teacher when I am older, and I want to speak Yiddish with my children. I beliebe the Yiddsih is a wonderful language, and it saddens mean that Yiddish is declining in use among Secular speakers. I would appreciate any help in editing the pages I have made, because my Yiddish, for the time being, is not very good. I would also appreciate any help from people in the greater Philadelphia area that would be interested in teaching a high school student (me) Yiddish, because I have discovered that Yiddish is very hard to lern when you attempt to teach yourself! If you can give me any help, please send me a message on my talk page. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I would also like to know the difficulty of reading the "forverts" newspaper, because I would like to subscribe, but I do not know if I would be able to understand enough at this point in time. Just to give you an idea of my level, I have taken 2 years of German at the high school level, and my teacher considers me one of her best German students. According to my teachers, it is very easy for me to pick new languages, which will obviously be a useful skill in my learning of Yiddish, although I believe that I need a teacher so that I can correctly learn a new language. This will be particulary important with regards to Yiddish, considering it is a language I would like to make a career out of and to speak with my children. I Have also taken several years of hebrew instruction at my religious school, although I only truly know the basics. I can also read the Yiddish alphabet without any problems. Once again, thanks for any help you guys can give me. hopefully, someone will respond soon Have a good day
