I have compiled this book list into 30 or 40 different languages, based almost exclusively on what was available in Wikipedia already.
In the case of Yiddish, that has turned out to be surprisingly little.
If Salman Rushdie warrants a Yiddish article, then presumably other post-war authors could have one as well.
And yet a number of classic, older authors are missing: H.G. Wells, Joseph Conrad, even Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I would imagine that they were in print in Yiddish a century ago.
Important Jewish authors also lack an article, e.g. Primo Levi, or Hannah Arendt.
Anyway I hope that this list spurs the creation of some worthwhile stub articles.
That has been the case with many of my other translations of this list.

I am truly sorry.

I had a defect in my notes-taking system which definitely had an impact on Yiddish.

This flaw appears *not* to have affected the other 24 languages I am compiling data for at present.

(I still will have to do a little more checking in that regard.)

So, overall, there was more information already available to readers in yiwiki than I had (falsely) concluded, and that's a good thing.
